We are Jana Kießer (*1989) and Annemie Martin (*1990): In 2018 we both graduated from Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. As freelance photographers we live and work in Berlin – since March 2020 also as an artist duo.
Annemie Martin is currently a master student in photography at HAW Hamburg in the class of Prof. Linn Schröder. In her work she deals with scientific phenomena as well as sociological and socio-political topics like climate change or interpersonal relationship.
Jana Kießer links feminism with botany in her work and focuses on topics like sexism, abuse of power and body norms.
Our work has already been exhibited and reviewed nationally and internationally – e.g. at Willy-Brandt-Haus Berlin, Triennial of Photography Hamburg, Maison de Heidelberg Montpellier, Goethe Institute London as well as Emkan Gallery Tehran and featured by monopol, ART magazine and the ZEIT Magazine Newsletter.
