ABOUT HIEN
Hiền Hoàng is a multimedia artist from Vietnam. She is interested in the concept of clichés, stereotypes, discrimination and sexualization of Asian. Her work is a combination of photography, installation and performance. Her goal is to create an immersive space where our habitual ways of seeing and observing can be provoked and hopefully changed. Recently, she was nominated as a FUTURES Talent by the curatorial team of the 8th Phototrienale Hamburg.
Her work has been exhibited at Kunsthaus Hamburg, old Parliament Singapore, Copenhagen Photo, Museum Belvédère Netherlands and Begehungen Chemitz among others.
